TikTok announced on Sunday that its services in the US have been restored after President-elect Donald Trump expressed plans to revive access to the China-based video-sharing platform through an executive order once he takes office on Monday.

00:07will work with President Trump for a solution.

00:10The app has given seven million small businesses to thrive,

00:15is what TikTok had said.

00:17Basically, Donald Trump gave out a statement and said,

00:20hired a TikToker and put the video on the app.

00:23Remember, this was amid the controversies that TikTok,

00:26which the ban had already been implemented by 19th of January.

00:30And it was a court case that was also going on.

00:32Remember, TikTok already has been banned in India over security reasons.

00:36It's a Chinese app.

00:37And there had been a statement even from China over why this app is being shut

00:42and is this a bar on foreign companies.

00:44However, TikTok has now decided to express its gratitude for Donald Trump for taking a stand.

00:48Ironically, Trump earlier wasn't supportive of a ban if required for TikTok.

00:53However, ahead of his second term, he appears to be in support of it and says

00:57that he's even hired one to be on the app.
