00:06He's back on coast to coast because the commanders are playing

00:11Tomorrow night at Ford Field in Detroit and they have been so exciting this year. I got to ask you first Chris

00:17Good to see you, buddy

00:19What's more lit the game or the fact that Monday's the inauguration?

00:26Well

00:28Hard first of all, it's great to be on with you Scotty. Thank you and the boys. I appreciate you guys having me

00:33Um, you know, it's kind of hard to compare the two because one's in Detroit one's obviously here

00:39But I would say Ford Field is gonna be absolutely just smoldering tomorrow night. I can't wait to get there

00:44I haven't been there in nine or ten years

00:47I think it is and I've heard you know

00:49Just it gets louder and louder and louder and crazier and you know this Scotty eight o'clock game

00:56Detroit you got to do something with all those hours to stay warm outside

01:01Running around Detroit. You can't go to a stupid Pistons game. You got a drink, right? You got to have fun

01:07You got a warm self. So these people are gonna be locked and loaded by Saturday night at eight o'clock. I went to

01:17The inauguration can go fly, you know kick all the rocks

01:21It's just gonna cause problems for us trying to move around on Monday. I'll tell you that much

01:26so I went to the Super Bowl at Ford Field and saw the Steelers and everybody said that the game was fixed and that they

01:32Screwed the Seahawks and I really I gotta tell you the ring looks

01:37Fantastic on all the Steelers that they won in Detroit. So I was there that week and I remember

01:42That it was snowing ass the whole week and we were driving around in Hummers and everything else

01:47So I've been to big games at Ford Field before the biggest of the big it should be rocky

01:52I got to tell you I've never seen anything like like I bet on the commanders last week and I took him to win that

01:58Game outright at you know, Raymond James against Baker Mayfield. That was the only good game of the weekend

02:05That was a fantastic game a thrilling game and a thrilling ending

02:10You've seen so many crazy endings with this team all of this six wins under ten seconds are in overtime

02:18It's just insane

02:21It is berserk, I don't know how to explain it other than this team when everyone else gets a little

02:27Tighter this team gets seemingly a little bit looser Scottie

02:30I don't know if that's a good description, but Jaden Daniels. I mean you've heard the term cool as a cucumber

02:36Cool as a cucumber California cool, whatever you want to call him. The guy literally doesn't have a pulse. They win games

02:43against Chicago with the Hail Mary against Philadelphia with six seconds left against

02:49Who was it against Atlanta in overtime to get into the playoffs last Sunday night in Tampa?

02:55And he's just nonplussed not even like oh man, we won like he was like, yeah, okay

03:00I knew that was gonna happen. I'm fine now

03:03He'll celebrate a little bit afterwards but in the moment so cool so poised and really I think Dan Quinn

03:10Has got this team playing way above not only expectation

03:14preseason during the season

03:16but I think that way over their expectation they kept calling this a

03:21Recalibration and a reload but not a rebuild but there's no chance

03:26They thought it was all gonna work out like this not a chance no matter what they tell you

03:30So when they lost to the Steelers and the Eagles and the Cowboys those three games in a row

03:37the trifecta

03:38Did you think that they were toast because unless I'm crazy they never lost after that

03:46They did not lose after that. You're right

03:49So you're talking about the three-game losing. I thought they should have beaten the Steelers. They lost by one

03:55They dropped a couple of passes

03:57They were outclassed by the Eagles and and quite honestly much of the day by the Cowboys

04:02Who were playing, you know

04:03The backup quarterback Cooper Rush and had you know played and got embarrassed on a Monday night at home

04:08Just a couple of days earlier and we're terrible. I have no idea how they lost that game

04:12I didn't you know, I didn't think they were gonna get off the mat fully

04:16As a matter of fact the next week they were playing Tennessee at home Scott and I picked them to lose that game and they

04:22Poured them a new one. They ran the ball for almost 270 yards against a pretty good defensive front now

04:28Unfortunately that hasn't held up that running game that natural running game

04:32Which is how I think they beat the Lions on Saturday night

04:36If they don't have that natural run game the Bryan Robinsons

04:39Jeremy McNichols a little sprinkle of Austin Eckler as a runner and we saw him convert a fourth and to the other night in Tampa

04:46Maybe Chris Rodriguez, although I don't think he'll be active if Jaden can't extend plays and make plays with his legs

04:52I don't know how they win this game Saturday night in Detroit

04:55They need that run game and the natural run game from the running backs to be much much better than it has been

05:01During this entire winning streak. So, you know, it sounds like you don't think they can beat him. I

05:09Think it's gonna be really really really tough. I mean I gave them on my show

05:12I think I said a 20% chance Scott. I don't know how you see it

05:16I think they'll cover the number depending on whether you get it at nine nine and a half, you know

05:20Ten wherever you might have gotten it wherever you might still be able to get it before game time here

05:25I think they'll keep it competitive

05:26What my fear is this offense because of the lack of that natural run game since the Tennessee game

05:33Early December and even the other night in Tampa

05:36He was kept mostly under control as a runner and as a play extender now

05:40He carved bowls and the Bucs up through the air and with his arm

05:44but I don't know if you're gonna be able to do that again without that natural run game or the play extension that

05:50Jaden is so good at if they can't get that

05:52I don't think they have a chance if they can't force Jared golf into at least at least two turnovers

05:58I don't think they have a chance if I give you one more Scottie

06:02You know, Dan Campbell is as aggressive as you I mean, he'll drop them on the table for you

06:07If that guy goes for it on fourth and one fourth and two from his own 40 or in

06:14meaning on his side of the field and you don't get that stop and

06:18Make him pay. I don't see the commanders having a chance to win this game

06:22So yeah, my accountant am I do I think they're gonna win? No, do I think they're gonna keep it relatively close?

06:29Yes, do I think they'll cover the number? Yes, I do

06:32But maybe a backdoor cover

06:34How about they never lose and they win all these close games and they play Philly for a third time in the NFC

06:41championship game

06:42Hey, listen, I would love that because that would mean I don't have to hop in an airplane

06:48I could just drop my fat ass up 95. Excuse me

06:51I hope I can say that you can and get and get some of the press best press box food in the world and

06:57And freeze our you know, what's off up in Philadelphia for a second time this year

07:02But you mentioned it would be a third meeting right? They won that last game a couple of weeks ago Scotty

07:19Unbelievable. So this kid has taken over the NFL Daniels

07:23It has to be pretty exciting watching him and being around him and seeing his success in your run

07:29Yeah, I mean, I mean he's incredible like I said, he doesn't say much

07:34You know, he's pretty religiously rooted

07:37You know, some people are gonna like that mind that not my whatever

07:41But he's he's been well raised

07:43I covered Robert Griffin the third Scotty from the day he walked in the door and I got to know him really well and I

07:49liked Robert

07:51In a lot of ways, but Robert was not authentic in my opinion. He was not real. He was very

07:58Self-conscious Jaden is none of that. I

08:01Mean none of that. He shows up at 445 5 o'clock in the morning every morning win-lose draw every day

08:08He works his ass off. He's the same to everyone. He doesn't get too high doesn't get too low

08:13He's very mature very poised. And again, I

08:16Hate to say this because it's cheesy, but he's cool as a cucumber

08:20How about Oh vets can he's getting closer?

08:44But I'd be lying to you if I told you they were gonna be this good

08:47But he broke another frickin record on Thursday night was like the 180th goaltender

08:51He scored against in his career breaking the record with yogurt. I mean every night I shouldn't say every night

08:57But most nights the guy is gonna do something that just makes your jaw drop. I believe that we're this close quite honestly
