I was head chef at the Ramseide for about 18 months, during which time the Duchess of
00:10
Kent came up to view the pits and she came for lunch and we had a big buffet and a big
00:17
party and we all had a line up when she visited the pit in the foyer and the manager I remember
00:25
was leading her into the hotel and we were all standing there, I'm all in white and everything
00:31
and she came up and the manager started to walk up the stairs thinking that she was going
00:36
to follow and she just veered off and she just came straight up to me and she thanked
00:43
me and told me it was lovely and she really enjoyed it and a nice acknowledgement. I was
00:48
really chuffed with that. Of course the manager was out at the top of the stairs thinking
00:51
what's happening.
