Hello and welcome to Manchester World and our travel guide for 2025. Now a new year offers
00:04
wonderful new opportunities for traveling and with Manchester Airport on your doorstep
00:08
there's a wide range of exciting places to visit right around the world. With that in mind I went
00:12
out into Manchester last week to ask a couple of people about the destinations that they're eyeing
00:16
up this year. At the moment got nowhere booked but when I booked Greece, when I booked Portugal
00:24
soon and um dream location was the Dominican Republic but went there last year. I'm not
00:30
going on holiday this year but I'm hoping to go on a ski season in France in like October with
00:34
my girlfriend. We were thinking of Canada but now we're thinking more France. I want to go
00:39
San Francisco yeah I'm a big basketball fan like the Golden State Warriors so that's my
00:44
my dream location. I haven't planned anything just yet but I'm thinking of going to New York in the
00:49
summer. I've not spent yeah I feel like I've not seen it in the summertime. I've always happened
00:54
to go in the winter because everyone's like oh Christmas in New York but like I want to see
00:58
Central Park in the summer when it's all green. Yeah that is cool yeah. I want to book a couple
01:02
more I think I'm going to go in Malta in September um probably get that booked like springtime. Now
01:09
there are way too many different options and opportunities for us to run through in this
01:13
little three minute video so let's focus instead on some of the new opportunities that are offered
01:17
from Manchester Airport. The first and perhaps the most exciting is Milan with services now being
01:22
operated by EasyJet. Starting at the end of March flights are looking like they could be as low as
01:26
£75 for a return and that's a truly remarkable offer for big lovers of Italian cuisine and
01:31
culture. The city is home to Leonardo da Vinci's remarkable painting of the Last Supper as well as
01:35
some spectacular views and museums but for many sports obsessed mancs the key to Milan is the
01:40
football culture. With both Milan and Internazionale based in the city it could be an amazing opportunity
01:45
to take in a game. Another new EasyJet offer can take lucky travellers to the city of Rennes in
01:49
France. The city resides in Brittany an area of great historic importance and is the home to some
01:54
of the most amazing architecture and some of the best food in the western world. There's a phenomenal
01:57
market at the Place de l'Elyse with the street festival of nightfalls being a year highlight
02:01
during July. There's amazing restaurants with traditional Breton crepes and local cider being
02:05
delicacies. There's also the local football team who've performed to a high standard recently in
02:09
European competitions and some of the loveliest cobble streets that you'll have ever seen. Now
02:13
those flights don't start until June but if you can get in early you can still bag a return flight
02:16
for £80 which is a remarkable value again. The final new offer for the year comes courtesy of
02:21
Jet2 who have flights to Salerno on their slate for 2025. They start in May and are every Monday
02:26
with the cheapest fares coming in at around £70 each way. While mildly more pricey than the other
02:31
options as a visitor to the Amalfi Coast recently I can't tell you just how brilliant it is. As with
02:36
every area of Italy food is at the heart of its charm with phenomenal pizza and pasta dishes being
02:40
reinforced by some of the best lemon-based products you'll ever come across. It's the
02:43
spiritual home of limoncello and it has phenomenal views of the sea to boot. With Naples and Pompeii
02:49
easily accessible via the train system it is an opportunity that could really turn 2025 into
02:54
something special. That's all for this video and our 2025 travel guide. Follow Manchester World
02:58
for more. We hope to see you again soon.
