Jeff Beck’s legendary guitar collection, including iconic instruments like 'The Oxblood' Les Paul, will be auctioned at Christie's London on 22 January 2025.

00:00So here is the iconic collection of one of the holy trinity of British rock guitars.

00:27And Jeff Beck is right there within them.

00:30It is Jeff Beck.

00:32It is Eric Clapton.

00:35Here's the collection in its entirety, and it represents his full performance career.

00:42Well, the top lot in our auction is the 1954 Gibson Les Paul known as the Oxblood, which

00:51is behind me on the stage in the center.

00:53It's estimated at 350,000 to 500,000 pounds, and it is actually the third Gibson Les Paul

01:00that Jeff bought in late 1972 in Memphis while he was there on tour with Beck, Bogart and

01:07Appies, his power trio.

01:09And it's iconic because as soon as he bought it, it was the only guitar he played for the

01:15next two, three years.

01:18To the right of the Oxblood is a completely unique hybrid guitar known as the Telegib,

01:24and it's our next top lot in the sale after the Oxblood with an estimate of 100,000 to

01:28150,000 pounds.
