00:00In your remarks about the success story of Poland and the enlargement, the EU enlargement
00:07as a whole, is really the European success story together.
00:12Whether north, east, south, west and centre,
00:17the EU has fared through all the different periods
00:22with its reaching challenges and opportunities
00:26and although sometimes it's written off
00:30more as a proposal of the past than the future, we're still here.
00:34And I think it's great to have Poland
00:38with a Prime Minister who has been
00:41President of the Parliament, President of the European Council.
00:46He has more than the credentials to steer the
00:50Polish Presidency of the EU
00:54at a critical moment, as you said.
00:57And actually there are two words, you mentioned one, security,
01:01the second one is competitiveness.
01:03In an environment which is fraught with challenges,
01:07I would say headwinds for everyone,
01:10and in this world we are looking around for partners,
01:14stabilising forces, and I think what stands out is
01:18EU and India are certainly natural partners
01:21in these stable forces, stabilising forces
01:24and powers in this fraught environment.
01:28So indeed, as you said, it will be a very rich year.
01:32It's probably 2025 will be the EU-India year.
01:36It will be on all fronts.
01:39It has been marked as a priority by the EU.
01:43A new EU-India strategic agenda is being prepared.
01:49It will culminate with the EU-India summit.
01:52Our leaders had a talk again earlier this week.
01:56And at the end of the year we look forward to this EU-India summit.
02:00And certainly with the drive and the purpose
02:04and the commitment of Poland at the helm,
02:07I think I'm confident that it will be a very rich
02:10and positive year for EU and India.
02:13There is so much of a common interest that we have,
02:17and bringing the whole EU family together,
02:20all member states here,
02:22I can only see that it's been a hugely important proposal
02:28to have this common agenda taken forward,
02:32all member states leaning forward when it comes to India.
02:37And I think it will be through this EU plus member states,
02:41the Team Europe, we are together a multiple force.
02:45And we will have in 2025 really enriching and promising years,
02:52not just in opportunities but also in achievements.
02:55And I think that's the most important.
02:57And again, thank you, Sebastian,
03:00for introducing the Polish presidency of the EU.
03:04And I wish you every success.
03:07And I think it will be a great first six months of the year.
03:11And I will take another bite.
