00:04expert Nomi Bar-Yakov saying that this deal between Hamas and Israel is very much driven

00:11by the inauguration of President Donald Trump.

00:15That seems to be sort of driving the timeline.

00:17Sounds like you agree with that.

00:18Well, certainly.

00:19I mean, incoming President Trump said that he wants to end wars.

00:24He doesn't want to make new wars.

00:26He informed Prime Minister Netanyahu directly that he expects this war to be over by the

00:30time he enters the Oval Office.

00:32He doesn't want it on his desk.

00:34And what we've seen going on right now in Doha is unprecedented, where an outgoing U.S.

00:40administration is collaborating with an incoming U.S. administration from two separate political

00:46parties working hand in hand in order to make this deal happen.

00:51So that President Biden can take credit for it in his last days in office and President

00:55Trump can take credit for making it happen.

00:57We see Steve Whitkoff, Trump's Middle East admissary, working together with Brett McGurk

01:02from the White House.

01:04And their messages, both to Netanyahu, to the Egyptians, the Qataris, and to Hamas,

01:09has been to get it done.

01:10And let's face it, this deal has been on the table since the end of May, but it's only

01:15happening now, a few days before Trump takes the Oval Office.
