00:00The Philippines and India celebrated the 75th anniversary of the bilateral relations of the two countries.

00:22in the midst of the geopolitical condition.

00:26On my courtesy in the palace, President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. helped Indian Minister of State for External Affairs, Pabitra Margarita.

00:36Here, the two leaders announced the reconciliation of the two countries

00:42that celebrated the 75th anniversary of the diplomatic relations last November.

00:48It is considered an important success of India that reached the Philippines.

00:54President Marcos said, despite the strong relationship of the two countries,

00:59it is important to strengthen the alliance and cooperation of the Philippines and India in the face of challenges,

01:06not only in Asia, but also in the Indo-Pacific.

01:10Among the challenges facing the region are security threats, issues in the territory, and climate change.

01:19On November 16, 1949, when the diplomatic relations of the Philippines and India were established,

01:25in 2023, the total balance of the two countries amounted to more than US$3 billion.

01:33The Philippines sent minerals, minerals, and fruits to India,

01:39while our country obtained pharmaceutical products from India,

01:45which ranked 15th among the leading trading partners of the Philippines.

01:50There are 53 agreements signed between the two countries

01:55that are anchored in the Declaration of the Co-Operation of Agriculture, Energy, and Defense.
