00:00Meghalaya Legislative Assembly and MLA of North Tudor Constancy,
00:10Sri Thomas A. Sangma.
00:14Our Executive Chairperson of the Meghalaya Board of Education are Sri C.P. Maratji,
00:26our respected Commissioner and Secretary of IT, Praveen Bakshiji, our Deputy Commissioner,
00:34SP, CEO, Municipal Board, all the officers of the administration,
00:42all the teachers who are present out here,
00:48and most importantly, all my young students and the future of our state,
00:58the students who are receiving the MTAB here today.
01:05It's a very small program, in one way,
01:15for the Speaker of the Assembly and Chief Minister together
01:25to attend a program of this distribution of the MTABs.
01:33If you look at it from the size of the programs that the Chief Minister and Speaker would attend.
01:41Like example, yesterday we had launched the historic Captain Williamson Sangma State University.
01:53And today, once again, Honorable Speaker and myself are here in this program deliberately.
02:02Because we wanted to be in this program.
02:07And the reason for that is because this is not just a program to give these small handheld devices to you.
02:23But this program is to let you know that we care about you.
02:33To let you know that we trust you.
02:40We believe in you.
02:43And that we have a huge expectation from you.
02:51Today in this program, you will be receiving these MTABs.
03:00As mentioned by Commissioner Secretary, Deputy Commissioner, and the Speaker of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly.
03:15That in today's world, technology is changing every aspect of our lives.
03:28Technology is in everything that we are doing.
03:34And hence, in education also, this government believes that in whatever way possible, we must strengthen the use of technology.
03:53To ensure that we can make the learning more impactful.
04:02The learning more meaningful.
04:06The learning more exciting and enjoyable.
04:12By being able to see digital content.
04:19The same concepts which you read in your books.
04:24Same concepts can be seen in a digital format through a video or through pictures.
04:33It is easier to understand the content.
04:38Easier for you to absorb what that particular chapter is trying to teach you.
04:46So therefore, we believe that these MTABs can make a huge difference in your lives.
04:57And like that.
