00:00The Penitential Walk of Jesus and the Obelisk Salvo of Novena Mas

00:06for the inauguration of the Cebu City Sinulog Festival

00:09were all performed by 160 devotees of Sr. Santo Nino.

00:15Jesse Atienza of PTV Cebu is in the center of the news.

00:21The candles were lit and the devotees filled the length of Fuente Osmeña Boulevard

00:27on a Thursday early in the morning.

00:29Most of them also brought their images of Sr. Santo Nino

00:32with different designs.

00:34The rain didn't stop,

00:36everyone marched together

00:38to the Basilica Minore del Santo Nino.

00:44Thousands of devotees waited for the arrival of the carousel

00:47of the image in the Pilgrim Center,

00:50which was immediately followed by the opening of Salvo of Novena Mas.

00:59The simultaneous singing of Gozos,

01:02Batu Balani sa Gugma,

01:04as a thank you to the merciful children, will not be missed.

01:07According to the Cebu City Police Office,

01:09more than 160,000 people

01:11attended the Penitential Walk

01:13and the first Mass in Novena

01:15for the feast.
