01:27whether it is a large logistics hub for cold storage.

01:31Today, we send our pineapples to UAE, sir.

01:37We send our pineapples to Europe today.

01:40But it is very difficult to send these pineapples to Delhi.

01:47By the time we reach the Guwahati airport,

01:50a lot of things get spoiled.

01:53And whenever we talk to the LA, they say that

01:56there should be a big logistic hub in Guwahati.

01:59Sir, my request to you is that we focus on agriculture,

02:05focus on research, focus on farmers, focus on productivity.

02:10But along with that, our logistics network,

02:14our commercial network should be able to

02:17deliver our goods and products to different parts of the country and the world.

02:21Sir, it is very important for us to pay attention to these things.

02:25So, my request to you is that we should do this at every level,

02:29sir, at the state level, at the central government level,

02:32at the level of different ministries.

02:35Because agriculture is not the only work, sir.

02:37There will be civil aviation, railway industry,

02:40there will be commercial industries.

02:43Sir, if you can call a meeting or a conference at your level

02:51and push the logistics hub of the Northeast,

02:55then I think it will benefit our people and our farmers a lot.

03:01Sir, my second suggestion is that

03:04the goods that our farmers grow,

03:09in all these things, the shelf life is very less.

03:13Whether it is our pomegranates,

03:15whether it is our oranges,

03:17whether it is our bananas.

03:19So, as we know, sir, food processing is a very big part of this.

03:24Sir, you will be happy to know that in the last 3-4 years,

03:28Meghalaya has invested more than 250 processing units

03:32with a self-help group, with women.

03:39And most of all, we have done this with our state budget.

03:42We would like, sir, if you and the government

03:48can put food processing units at a large scale,

03:52packaging units and factories,

03:58then, sir, I hope that our people and our farmers

04:02will get a very good response and a good result.

04:06Today, you will be happy to know that

04:10our products that are made from these processing plants,

04:14today, from Japan to Australia to Europe

04:18and in our Middle East nations,

04:20our products, our honey, our turmeric,

04:24our ginger products are going to these countries.

04:27But our biggest problem is that we have a low quantity

04:31and we need to pay attention to both processing and growth.

04:35Sir, my second suggestion would be that

04:38if we can pay more attention to food processing,

04:44then I believe that we will be able to move forward in these things.

04:49Sir, my third suggestion would be that

04:52the way we have started cluster development programs in different areas,

04:58these cluster development programs...
