00:00And I think NCC is doing a commendable job in that, in bringing the entire nation together.

00:07Teaching them the right values at the right time. So, my compliments to each and everyone who is engaged in this job.

00:14So, I have been briefed that there are some new raisings which are taking place.

00:27And from 17 lakhs, we are slowly moving towards 20 lakhs which is our target in next few years.

00:34And I am very happy to see that this is one place where we get the young minds being trained towards nation building.

00:46Young minds being trained towards selfless service. And if more and more youth joins NCC, I think we will have better citizens.

00:55Because what I see here is future of India. In cadets, what we see is future of India.

01:02They are the ones who are going to be tomorrow's leaders, tomorrow's doctors, tomorrow's engineers,

01:08tomorrow's politicians, tomorrow's fogeys. And they are the ones who are going to take this nation forward towards the amrit kal

01:17that we are talking about all the while. The more we motivate these youth, the more we teach them the right values,

01:26the better our country will be for tomorrow. And it's our commitment in Indian Air Force to make sure that whatever the NCC needs,

01:40we do our bit towards that. I know there has been some shortages in the past, we have been discussing.

01:47My commitment to the DG today that we will do our best to make sure that whatever training programs you conduct,

01:55whatever needs that the NCC has, Indian Air Force will go out of their way to make sure that those shortages are met.

02:02And the kind of values, patriotism, selfless service, discipline, leadership, team spirit,

02:14living with the code of conduct that is being imbibed in you. I am talking to the cadets now.

02:20Does everybody understand English or you want me to speak in Hindi, some of you?

02:25How many of you want me to raise my hand in Hindi?

03:21aur yeh jo netritv ki bhavna jo yahan pe NCC mein bhari jaati hai,

03:27ek jo naitikta ke saath rehna sikhaya jaata hai,

03:31aur deshprem jo usme sikhaya jaata hai,

03:36yeh aap jis bhi kaam pe jaoge, bade hoke jo bhi banoge, aapke kaam aayega.

03:42Mereko pata chala hai ki bahut saare log yahan pe fauj join karna chahte hain,

03:46Air Force, Army, Navy mein aana chahte hain.

03:48Main bahut khush hoon ki wo hona chahiye,

03:51kyuki agar yeh uniform aap pehde ke deshi seva karte hain, uska ek alag hi chaar nahi.

03:57Par desh seva ke liye uniform pehna jaroori nahi hai.

04:01Yeh humko yaad rakhna hai.

04:04Uniform pehne wale hi sirf desh seva nahi karte hai,

04:07unhi mein deshprem nahi hota hai, desh bhakti nahi hoti hai.

04:10It is in everyone, every national, every citizen of this country.

04:18I just now attended a camp somewhere,

04:22where somebody said that every soldier is a citizen in uniform,

04:30and every citizen is a soldier out of uniform.

04:34I think that is the way we are.

04:36Each and every citizen of this country is a soldier.

04:40He has to make sure that he looks after that country's interests

04:45and the safety and security of the country.

04:49So whether we wear this uniform or not,

04:52just remember, whatever you are being taught here,

04:56your motto.
