00:17More than 400,000 Filipinos have left the under-employment status
00:22based on the November 2024 Labor Force Survey of the Philippine Statistic Authority or PSA.
00:29Based on the results of the survey, 5.35 million Filipinos are now included in the under-employment status.
00:36This is decreasing compared to the 5.79 million Filipinos that were registered in November 2023.
00:44The transportation and storage is increasing.
00:46We have a decrease in the number of underemployed of around 144,000.
00:52And the biggest contributor is passenger land transport.
00:56So that is also one of their contributors to the increase in the number of employed persons.

01:08More than 170,000 Filipinos have also decreased in the number of unemployed in the country.
01:17Based on the survey, 1.66 million Filipinos have lost their jobs.
01:22This is decreasing compared to the 1.83 million Filipinos who lost their jobs in November 2023, according to the PSA.
01:31Those who work in the agricultural sector are the largest number who lost their jobs.
01:38Based on the survey, more than 1.99 million farmers and fishermen lost their jobs, according to MAPA, due to the recent typhoons.
01:48But the number of unemployed is increasing in the manufacturing and accommodation services and workers in the classification of wage and salary workers.

02:30The number of Filipinos who lost their jobs increased to 49.54 million in October 2024, which is 48.16 million Filipinos.
02:43According to the PSA, there are five major industries that have increased the number of people who lost their jobs in the country in November 2024.
02:52These are manufacturing, accommodation and food service activities, human health and social work activities, transportation and storage, and other service activities.
