00:00to start off super wild card weekend our first of six playoff matchups in Houston

00:05against the Texans the RS here is the line two and a half point spread still

00:10in favor of the Bolts 42 and a half is that total it really hasn't moved much

00:14throughout this week so it's not so much the numbers it's the big questions that

00:19will dictate the matchup and of course the outcome let's start with question

00:23number one as provided to us by our producer extraordinaire Joe Friso

00:28question one for the Chargers and the Texans which quarterback do you trust

00:34more man that's a good one like I would have to go Herbert because I trust that

00:39team more than to do the Texans and it's unfair to answer the question that way

00:43but it's just the way I feel I think you have a little bit more help on the side

00:46here for Herbert with a better offensive line with maybe a running game that's

00:49about equal JK Dobbins coming back maybe some better weapons overall at wide

00:53receiver if you're looking from a Chargers number year would have been

00:56much different if we didn't get all those injuries on the outside for the

00:59Houston Texans but understanding this like trustability that CJ's been there

01:03before this isn't him showing up to his first playoff game he does have a

01:06playoff win under his belt he's played in some big atmospheres he came from a

01:10big-time college that's used to big-time football games here but understand this

01:13Herbert just with that absolute lightning ball and also the other things

01:17that you're trusting to like Herbert now is a dome quarterback where's this game

01:20being played at it's in a dome so it's like hey you know what those outdoor

01:23quarterbacks you know you're going into a dome might change a little bit the

01:26dome quarterbacks going outdoors you don't have that so just to answer this

01:29question I'm trusting Herbert a little bit more just because his surrounding

01:33cast I think is better includes the coaches as well I am trusting Herbert a

01:39lot more I think CJ Stroud sophomore slump is not all on him he has been

01:44sacked 52 times this year in comparison 38 sacks during his rookie campaign but

01:51DRS is passer rating is worse his QBR is worse he has thrown more

01:55interceptions he has a worse completion percentage he has thrown fewer

01:58touchdowns it has not been nearly as prolific as a season ago his rookie

02:03season in the NFL and Justin Herbert in the back half of this year has had

02:09almost a season renaissance I appreciate what Jim Harbaugh and Greg Roman told us

02:15they were going to do and then exactly enacted it to start off this year this

02:19was a guy in his first four years of the NFL that all of the pressure of the

02:23organization in LA was placed on his right arm so they were going to run the

02:28football they were going to be stout offensively they were going to play

02:31solid defense it's exactly what the Chargers did but now in the second half

02:36of this year Herbert will enter the postseason 23 touchdowns to only three

02:41INTs you see the numbers in the quarterback comparison they look rather

02:45similar except for the anytime INT price because Herbert hasn't thrown

02:50many this year just three in 17 games that is remarkable he will also enter

02:57throwing multiple touchdowns in each of the last four he will enter the

03:01postseason with 281 passing yards at least in the last three games for Los

03:07Angeles I trust Justin Herbert more I trust the Chargers to win in Houston but

03:13Donnie the second question from this matchup perspective the winner will take

03:17on the one seed the Kansas City Chiefs so question number two which team has

03:21more upside to make it more of a game against KC it's the Chargers it

03:27definitely is by that end of because if they're gonna win this football game on

03:30the road and they're healthy going into Kansas City they're gonna be ready to

03:32play in a team that they know well because why they play him twice a year

03:35but understand this too you look at Herbert you know battling so many

03:39injuries over the past couple years in his young career throwing hand

03:41situations and even earlier this year ankle sprains high ankle sprains he's

03:45now back fully healthy and so is that team and also getting JK Dobbins back

03:49but here's the problem that I have with this this is the type of year that you

03:52do want to sit time of year I should say that you're gonna start to check to see

03:55where the public is at on the fan blue sports book right now if you hit that

03:58stats box under the game 81% of the spread bets they're on LA 89% of the

04:03money on LA fan to opened up as a minus three it sits at minus two and a half

04:08today that could be troublesome one of those sharp sharp Joe provides here
