Leeds is set to feel colder than parts of Iceland at times this week as the Met Office

have forecasted persistently cold temperatures through to Monday the 13th of January.

Although the yellow and amber weather warnings for snow and ice have finished, a yellow warning

for ice has been issued until midday on Wednesday.

Lingering snow and icy conditions could continue to cause issues for schools and transport,

but Tuesday's sleet and wintry showers are not set to continue.

Monday's highs of 2 degrees will feel closer to freezing, with Wednesday morning's temperatures
