00:37In his Mitsubishi Pajero, Marcos Leva is enjoying his third Dakar Classic and doing so with

00:42his wife Alexia.

00:48But this first day on the Dakar was all but an easy drive in the desert, especially for

00:53the old Peugeot 205 diesel of French crew Denis Fercocq and Jean-Marc Lochtneau.

01:03We came in just too slowly, but calmly we got stuck.

01:08We've been told that it would be difficult, but this is hard.

01:12Hey, go and answer.

01:15Yes?

01:16Why are you stopped?

01:19Because we're stuck in the sand.

01:20We're okay.

01:21Are you going to continue?

01:23Yeah, in 10 minutes we're off again.

01:26We're being watched, very well taken care of.
