A 29-year-old man armed with a parang and a hammer ran amok in a restaurant in Sandakan on Friday (Jan 3) morning, injuring five people.

Sandakan OCPD Asst Comm Abdul Fuad Abdul Malek said two men and three women were injured in the incident.

00:32The suspect has been detained for investigation.
