00:00Authorities confiscated more than 43,000 assorted illegal firecrackers in Calabar Zone.

00:08This is according to the recent operations of the Police Regional Office 4A

00:13since December 18 of last year until January 1 of this year, 2025.

00:19According to the PRO 4A, the firecrackers worth Php 2,000,000.

00:26Meanwhile, the number of firecrackers related injuries in the region decreased to 160

00:33compared to last year.

00:36At the same time, it was at 271.

00:40On the other hand, there were some cases of illegal discharge of firearms

00:45recorded during the holiday season.

00:48These were found in the Republic Act 10591 or Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulations Act.
