00:00The priority of the Department of Public Works and Highways or DPWH this year is to fix the Maharlika Highway in Quezon Province.

00:15Sheila, the Department of Public Works and Highways will strive to fix the Maharlika Highway in Quezon Province this year.

00:22This is a preparation for the upcoming Holy Week where many will return to their respective provinces.

00:28According to 4th District Engineer Rodel Florido, along with the Department of Routine Maintenance,

00:33their roads from Malikboy, Pagbilao and Santa Catalina to Atimonan to Tagkawayan,

00:39including one part of Camarines Norte,

00:43Florido admitted that there is a lack of sufficient funds

00:46and the staggered system of issuing funds is one of the reasons why the maintenance of the Maharlika Highway is not continuing.

00:54She also emphasized the maintenance of the road due to the frequent rains along the shoreline.

01:00There is also heavy traffic due to the roads in the province of Quezon, towards Bicol and Visayas Region.

01:07Despite this, the Quezon 4th District Engineering Office is not stopping in the gradual repair

01:14to maintain the condition of the Maharlika Highway.
