00:05in the ASEAN Mitsubishi Electric Cup 2024 has become a history.

00:08Under the new head coach, Albert Capellas,

00:11the country showed an impressive performance

00:15in the group stage only,

00:17where they were able to score a one-win and three draws.

00:20This includes the necessary victory against Indonesia,

00:24which became the key of the Philippines

00:26to return to the semifinals of the AFF Tournament

00:30after six years.

00:32Speaking of semis,

00:33Thailand, the reigning champions, is facing our national booters.

00:37In front of 7,000 fans in the Rizal Memorial Stadium,

00:41the Philippines knocked down the War Elephants

00:44with a score of 2-1

00:45to secure the country's first win against Thailand

00:49after 52 years.

00:51In the second leg,

00:52Thailand was able to win back the Philippines

00:55with a score of 3-1

00:57and secure the championship game of the regional football meet.
