00:08In a speech delivered from St. Peter's Square following the Angelus Prayer, the Supreme
00:13Pontiff reiterated his condemnation of war, which he stressed always destroys peoples.
00:19In this regard, he expressed his gratitude to those who promote prayers and demonstrations
00:23for peace, highlighting that these initiatives are widespread all over the world.
00:29He also stressed the need to work to reduce inequality and called on the world leaders
00:34to set a good example by reducing as far as possible the economic obligations of the poorest
00:39countries so that no person, family nor people are crushed by these debts.
00:51I express my deep gratitude to all those in the conflict zones who are working for dialogue
00:56and peace negotiations.
00:58Let us pray for a cessation of hostilities on all fronts and for a definite progress
01:03towards peace and reconciliation.
01:06My thoughts are with those suffering in Ukraine, Gaza, Israel, Myanmar, Kivu, and so many other
