00:00Many families are still going to Luneta to celebrate the new year.

00:05The details in the national news of Lian Manalo of PTV Manila.

00:11From Santa Maria, Bulacan, Bernadette's family went to Luneta Park early to celebrate the new year.

00:18Her brother's family is also with them.

00:21This is the first time they visited the park again after more than 7 years.

00:28This is the place we chose.

00:30We feel happy when we come here.

00:32We feel very happy to be here in Luneta.

00:36The family of Campus, who came back from Canada, also chose to celebrate the new year in Luneta.

00:42It's only now that they are able to visit the popular Pasyalan after 16 years.

00:48Aside from visiting, this is also a good opportunity to write the children in the rich history of the Philippines.

00:56I want to show my children the beauty of Manila, Luneta, and where Dr. Jose Rizal started.

01:04Spend more time with them, have more bonding time with them, and get to know each other even more.

01:09The bonding of Filipinos is really different.

01:12It's different when you are in your own country.

01:15According to the Luneta Board of Directors,

01:17almost 40,000 individuals have visited the countdown to celebrate the new year.

01:25Far more than 100,000 individuals were expected.

01:29Almost 100,000 individuals visited the park today.

01:34Due to inclement weather, the maximum number of visitors was only 39,000.

01:40As of 1am on January 1.

01:43Some of the visitors will enjoy the musical dancing fountain

01:48that starts from 6pm until 10pm.

01:52There are also food stalls and toy shops inside the park.

01:56The visitors were reminded to maintain the cleanliness of the surroundings

02:02and always leave the playground clean as you go.

02:06No untoward incidents were recorded,

02:09except for the 11 children who were not there yesterday,

02:12who were immediately found and returned to their families.

02:16They are all welcome here to enjoy the park.

02:19So everybody is welcome.

02:21Aside from the police personnel,

02:23tourist police, coast guard, and Philippine Army were also deployed

02:27around Luneta to maintain the security and cleanliness of the area.
