00:31As of 8 p.m., there are already 18 victims of firecracker-related injury

00:36who were rushed to Dr. Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center.

00:40This is 43% higher than last year.

00:44The main cause of the firecracker injury here at JRRMMC

00:49are the firecrackers, King Kong and Five Star.

00:53They are expecting more firecrackers to be launched here by the end of the night.

00:58It's so alarming that the cases are mostly less than 18 years old

01:03and those are the passive victims.

01:05So there's really a must for parents to take care of their children.

01:11This is where the DOH first visited tonight.

01:14According to Usec Emeliza Perez Chong,

01:17the number of firecrackers is increasing this year

01:20which is why she is urging everyone to be more careful.

01:30and all DOH hospitals are ready.

01:56and they are ready in case the patients with firecracker-related injuries fall.

02:08There are also eggs here for the WATUSI ingestion cases.

02:12In the whole month of December,

02:14only one case was reported here at QMMC.

02:17The patient is a victim of quitis.

02:19But they are still not campaigning.
