Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh and Salam Sejahtera.
00:18
Ladies and gentlemen,
00:21
I am honoured to welcome you back to the year 2024,
00:27
a year that will be remembered in history as a precursor and a pioneer
00:33
to the national innovation agenda for the beloved country of Malaysia.
00:39
If the Madani Economic Framework was launched on 27 July 2023,
00:46
it would make it possible for Malaysia to re-establish itself as an economic pioneer in Asia.
00:56
What is more important and valuable is the Madani Economic Framework,
01:01
which gives guidance to the leaders and the next generation
01:07
to build an economic system based on human principles,
01:14
with benevolence and mercy,
01:18
so that justice can be established for every Malaysian citizen.
01:24
For this purpose, the government has made an effort to launch a new initiative starting this year.
01:35
I also understand that not all government decisions and policies are popular or effective.
01:45
However, all of this is carried out with a clear political stance,
01:51
with a sincere intention, as well as a detailed assessment
01:55
to ensure that the foundations provide the most benefits to the people.
02:02
For example, a diesel subsidy.
02:06
And before that, the electric tariff,
02:11
which was launched by the Madani government
02:14
to cover the long-term deficit in coal subsidies
02:19
that have been allocated to the richest parties,
02:25
and foreigners, three and a half million people,
02:29
who are not eligible to receive subsidies.
02:32
Alhamdulillah, the allocation for the Rahmah Cash Fund, or STR,
02:38
and the Rahmah Fund, or SARA for this year,
02:42
has been increased by Rp10 billion,
02:46
which is the largest amount in history.
02:50
God willing, in the future, the government is eager to increase the allocation of STR and SARA
02:57
by Rp3 billion, or 30% to Rp13 billion in total.
03:06
In addition to increasing the number of year-end subsidies,
03:11
the government is also keen to increase the costs that must be handled.
03:18
Because the cost of living is handled through the implementation of the Payung Rahmah program
03:24
throughout the country.
03:26
Supervisors are actively mobilized to observe, monitor, and take action
03:34
on any parties that overprice.
03:40
We must handle the current economic situation wisely.
03:49
Because it also involves what is not expected to happen as bad as this,
03:59
which is the flood disaster that happened recently.
04:05
Therefore, the Madani government has assured
04:10
that all efforts will continue to be carried out in all countries
04:16
to ensure immediate assistance
04:20
and recovery work and assistance as soon as possible
04:25
will be provided by all central government agencies,
04:29
associations, cooperatives, state agencies, and local governments.
04:37
Preparatory operations have been planned in advance
04:45
to avoid the negative impact of the disaster.
04:51
God willing, we will be able to save and protect more lives,
04:57
such as victims or property that is damaged.
05:02
Regarding state spending,
05:04
in addition to providing support to basic needs such as roads,
05:10
festivals, libraries, and supplies,
05:13
by continuing the flood prevention projects in high-risk areas,
05:19
although it will have a high impact and impact on state spending.
05:25
In 2025, Malaysia will take responsibility as the leader of ASEAN.
05:35
The complexity of the global landscape now
05:39
requires ASEAN to play a new role and direction.
05:44
This turns out to be a major task for Malaysia
05:47
to lead ASEAN this year by raising the theme of inclusiveness and efficiency,
05:54
that is, to bring all existing forces,
05:59
all existing teams as one
06:03
and ensure that this development continues to be sustainable
06:08
and take into account, reduce differences,
06:13
and deal with the problems faced by marginalized, poor, and marginalized groups.
06:22
So this is our intention,
06:25
so that ASEAN enjoys and shares the abundance of prosperity
06:31
fairly without any marginalized groups or regions.
06:41
Therefore, for this purpose,
06:43
we must jointly uphold the principle of striving for excellence,
06:48
which means trying to find ways and methods to record the achievements,
06:57
to strengthen the unity in our country first,
07:00
because before we enter the international market,
07:06
the country must be well-organized,
07:09
the level of governance must be elevated,
07:12
the level of integrity and integrity must be enhanced,
07:15
only then will we gain respect as a sovereign, independent, and responsible country.
07:24
This is a great respect for the country
07:27
and an opportunity to build a new page in the global agenda,
07:33
which continues to challenge several major issues,
07:38
such as the occupation, cruelty, oppression, colonization in Gaza,
07:45
and several other challenging areas.
07:49
We pray to Allah SWT,
07:51
hopefully our efforts will be blessed by Allah SWT.
07:56
Wassalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
