00:00Hi, Smart Parenting fam! Welcome to another Smart Parenting Guide.

00:04In this video, we're doing our very first family car review.

00:08Meet the Mazda CX-8 6-seater.

00:16As a mom of three, I often find myself busy driving my kids around

00:20from one activity to another and from one class to the next.

00:23Today, we'll get to test drive a family vehicle that promises to make

00:27a busy parent's life easier and comfortable.

00:35I love that the car is really giving a family vibe.

00:37It doesn't really look like a large SUV but it's so, so spacious.

00:43The color has gotten me so many compliments.

00:46A lot of friends have told me how beautiful it looks.

00:49Another thing I can't deny is Mazda's signature premium finish.

00:53This is definitely a notch up of your usual family car.

00:56It's the most luxurious one we've driven yet.

01:07When I first rode the car, when I first saw it, I thought it was quite big

01:12from the outside and I was a little bit intimidated to drive it.

01:16But when you're inside and when you're driving it,

01:19you don't feel at all that it is big and heavy.

01:23A lot of people ask because I'm such a small person.

01:26I'm such a small mom.

01:28If it's hard for me to carry it.

01:30For its size, you don't feel at all that it's heavy.

01:34It's like I'm driving a sedan, a car, a regular car.

01:39Another thing I noticed when I'm turning and whether it's a sharp turn

01:43because you forgot or you're not listening to your app properly,

01:49the steering wheel is so smooth.

01:51Especially when I'm parking, whether it's a parallel park

01:55or a small parking lot in a condo, which is where I live.

01:58I live in a condo, so the parking space is a bit tight.

02:02There's no problem at all to maneuver or to turn or to adjust my parking.

02:09It's so, so easy.

02:11Move the steering wheel around.

02:14I feel that the car is so smooth when you're driving around

02:18even if it's so bumpy in the Philippines and bumpy in our roads.

02:25I feel that the drive is so smooth.

02:32Another thing I find easy when I'm driving or makes driving easier

02:38are all the features.

02:42So when I'm driving on the highway and I need to change lanes

02:46or there's someone near me, it's so helpful that there are features

02:52that helps me to know if there's a car that's near me.

02:55It helps you if you forgot to signal when you're going to change the lane.

02:59And my kids, right now, they're not talking.

03:02But normally, when we're driving around, they're either singing

03:06or talking, talking, talking, talking.

03:08All of those help me to make sure that we're safe when we're driving around the city.

03:15It's a six-seater, so that means the two rows at the back

03:20or the second row at the back just has two seats.

03:23So because I have three kids, sometimes we have a little argument

03:30about who should sit there.

03:32But if you have small kids or they're still babies and they're still toddlers,

03:37it's a really nice car that can grow old with your family.

03:41Because even as they grow up, they take up more space,

03:45they have more things to carry.

03:47Or maybe even, you can have friends.

03:50There's space for everybody in the car.

03:52Grandpa, grandma, or maybe if you have staff at home

03:58who can ride with you, there's no problem.

04:01There's room for everybody.

04:04As parents, we know that we always carry a lot.

04:07So now we're going to check out the cargo space and just how much it can load.

04:13One touch only when you open it.

04:16There.

04:17And here we already have some of our groceries,

04:20my kids' taekwondo gear, and I'm going to load the stroller of my bunso.

04:27So this is how much it can load.

04:29It's so much.

04:30And if it's not enough, if you're going to long drive or you have luggage,

04:34the third row is actually completely collapsible.

04:37Another thing I noticed is it's totally flat

04:40and on the same level as the back part of the cargo area.

04:43So if you're bringing in new furniture that you might have bought

04:47or maybe you have luggage for a road trip,

04:49or if you're going to the airport, everything totally fits.

04:52So now we're going to close the compartment

04:55and I'm going to ask my eldest daughter to do it for me.

05:01High five.

05:07So how many stars do you give the Mazda CX-8 six-seater, Vera?

05:11Me, five stars because I really like how it turns out.

05:15And Teo?

05:17Four and a half.

05:18Why?

05:19Because there's no aircon at the back,

05:21so you can't really feel the aircon from when you're up there.

05:24Right away at least.

05:26Yes.

05:27Yes.

05:28Okay, and Sandra, how many stars?

05:30One hundred million out of five.

05:33Wow!

05:34One hundred million out of five stars.

05:36Why do you give one hundred million out of five stars?

05:39Because I love it!

05:41Okay, and for Mama Ronna, she gives it five out of five stars.

05:45It's really the most luxurious family car that I've ever driven

05:49and I wish I didn't have to give it back.

05:51I'm sure my kids feel the same way.

05:58There are so many things I love about this car.

06:01First is the space.

06:02It's so spacious.

06:03The moment my kids came in,

06:05they instantly fell in love with the car.

06:07Second, the ride.

06:09It's so smooth.

06:11My kids can sleep well on long drives.

06:13They have a good nap while I'm driving.

06:16And number three, the car features

06:18that makes it so much safer for me to drive when I'm changing lanes

06:22or if there's a car near me.

06:24If your kids are like mine,

06:26they're so talkative.

06:28So if you're easily distracted,

06:30it's so great that there's an extra layer of safety while you're driving.

06:34And number four, the storage.

06:36Everything I need to do,

06:38especially my weekly errands like groceries

06:41or when I'm taking my kids to their sports and activities,

06:45the car can store all of the things.

06:47There's one thing that you might be thinking of

06:49and that is the price tag.

06:51It might be a little bit hefty for us families,

06:53but actually considering all the factors,

06:56plus and most importantly,

06:58your family's safety,

07:00I think this is a really good car to consider for your family.
