00:25That's what President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. promised after he passed the 2025 national budget.
00:33From the original P6.353 trillion proposal budget,
00:38it was reduced to P26 trillion which became P6.326 trillion
00:44from the National Expenditure Program of the administration.
00:48The education sector is still leading in securing the most valuable fund which is P1.053 trillion
00:55which was followed by the Department of Public Works and Highways or DPWH which is P1.034 trillion.
01:02The health sector, DSWD, DALG, Department of Agriculture, DOTR, Judiciary, DOLE, and Department of Justice are also priorities in the 2025 national budget.
01:14In his statement, President R. Marcos Jr. confirmed that he approved the fund after he vetoed P194 billion
01:23for line items that are not in line with the administration's agenda for the next year.
01:29Some line items of DPWH and unprogrammed funds reached 300% were also vetoed.
01:36Meanwhile, the President decided to implement under Conditional Implementation
01:41the assistance in the Kaposkita Program or AKAP of the DSWD.
01:45It was not called for the programs to be implemented in our poor countrymen
01:52but it needs to be secure and the use of funds is right.
01:57To ensure that government assistance is not merely a provisional solution to a persistent issue,
02:03we are compelled to subject the implementation of the Ayuda sa Kaposkita Program or AKAP
02:10to the convergence efforts of the DSWD, DOLE, and LEDAP.
02:15This way, we ensure that its implementation will be strategic,
02:20leading to the long-term improvement of the lives of qualified beneficiaries
02:26while guarding against misuse and duplication and fragmented benefits.
02:31The President's implementation of the 2025 National Budget is scheduled for 10 days.
02:39The proposed bill needs to be reviewed and studied well before it is passed into law.
