00:11The Bullring at the heart of Birmingham will open from 10am to 6pm on New Year's Eve and

00:15from 10am to 5pm on New Year's Day.

00:18Grand Central, another key destination for city shoppers, will open slightly earlier

00:23on New Year's Eve, from 9am to 6pm and will match the Bullring's hours on New Year's Day.

00:29Further afield, Merrihill will welcome shoppers from 9am to 5pm on New Year's Eve and extend

00:35its hours to 10am to 6pm on New Year's Day.

00:39Meanwhile the Fort Shopping Park, a popular choice on the city's outskirts, will be open

00:44from 9.30am to 5pm on New Year's Eve and 11am to 5pm on New Year's Day.

00:50Shoppers should note that individual store opening hours may vary, and it's advisable
