00:10As before, we had a very fine meeting with the President.

00:15We discussed a whole series of issues, the present and past and future of the Palestinian

00:22people under his very good leadership.

00:26We hope that in the future we can be of help.

00:29We represent the Elders Group, and Prime Minister Brunton will cover that in just a moment.

00:37We hope that sometimes we will see elections all over the Palestinian area in East Jerusalem

00:44and in Gaza and also in the West Bank.

00:47We believe that holding of elections will be a major beneficial and positive step for

00:54the Palestinian people.

00:55And now I'd like to introduce the Vice-Chairman of the Elders Group, and that's Prime Minister

01:01Brunton from Norway.

01:02One and a half billion people are being held in a cage or prison with all their human rights

01:14because of Fatah decided not to come to Damascus.

01:25We'd like to have one telephone system so we can communicate back and forth with our

01:30friends in the North or South.

01:33We found the same thing true among the leaders of the private sector, almost all of whom

01:41were actively working for peace.

01:45Some of them pointed out that there are still two completely separate law enforcement agencies.

01:50They don't even cooperate with each other or communicate with each other.
