00:07Today, we're looking at the rarest items in every single Souls game.

00:26Pure Bladestone Demon's Souls

00:35FromSoftware's first Souls game didn't manage to perfect the formula, however, it was still

00:40a well-received game and paved the way for the genre.

00:43It still featured some basic RPG mechanics, like upgrading your weapons.

00:46For sharp weapons, you'll need to collect Bladestone Ore.

00:50This only gets the item up to plus 4 tier.

00:52To get them to plus 5, which is the max level, you'll need a pure Bladestone.

00:57Its drop rate is frustratingly low, and it's only dropped by black skeletons.

01:01On average, it's got a 0.5% drop rate.

01:05If you're hoping to farm it, max out your rare item drop.

01:08Otherwise, it could take you hours.

01:10Black World Tendency is responsible for this statistic.

01:13Since sharp weapons are best for a dexterity build, it's certainly worth the grind, given

01:17that dexterity is generally the most overpowered stat.

01:27Symbol of Avarice Dark Souls

01:36The first Dark Souls game has its fair share of rare items and enemies.

01:40For example, the Vagrants are the rarest enemies in any Souls game.

01:43They spawn in response to lost bloodstains or items, and will spawn in another player's

01:48world.

01:49They have a good and evil variation, with the evil one hopping between worlds if a player

01:52can't beat it.

01:53Of all the hard-to-get items, we believe the Symbol of Avarice takes the top spot.

01:58It has a 0.1% drop rate from Mimic Chest, a non-respawning enemy.

02:03There are also only four Mimics in the game, so you can't farm it like other items.

02:08One way you can cheese it is by using the Lloyd's Talisman to put them to sleep, letting

02:12you grab an item.

02:14Thankfully, killing all four Mimics guarantees the drop, but they're spread across the entire

02:18game.

02:23Pickaxe Dark Souls 2

02:31This might be the most controversial Souls game, given it's the only one Miyazaki didn't

02:36direct.

02:37Its rarest item is easily the Pickaxe.

02:39This is because how you acquire it is so completely random that it makes no sense how anyone even

02:44discovered it in the first place.

02:46To get it, you've gotta find a pig at the Royal Army Campsite Bonfire, then lure it

02:51through Brightstone Cove Seldora all the way to the end of the level.

02:55Your goal is the room with hidden ceiling spiders, which has a patch of mushrooms on

02:59the ground.

03:00Now, simply watch the pig gobble up the mushrooms, and you'll be given your prize, a Pickaxe.

03:05It's not particularly difficult to acquire if you know how, but without someone telling

03:09you, how would anyone find this?

03:10It's a complete mystery how anyone found it in the first place.

03:18Ring of Betrothal Bloodborne

03:28This is one of FromSoftware's two most unique Souls games, which includes chalice dungeons

03:33for players to enjoy.

03:34These are randomly generated dungeons featuring random bosses and loot.

03:39The difficulty scales with depth, with 5 being the hardest.

03:42If you're looking to get the Ring of Betrothal, this is where you'll need to be.

03:45It's got an exceptionally low drop rate, and the chalice dungeons are entirely optional,

03:50making it one of the game's most obscure items.

03:52Is it worth finding though?

03:54Well, all it can be used for is proposing to Annalise, ruler of the Vileblades.

03:59This will give you some special dialogue where the Queen politely refuses your offer.

04:03Other than this, it doesn't really do anything.

04:06The chalice dungeons are still great fun, and their final boss Yharnam Thumerian Queen

04:10drops the rare Yharnam Stone, which surprisingly does even less than the Ring.

04:21Eleonora Dark Souls 3

04:35Next on the list, we have the mighty axe Eleonora.

04:38It drops from only one enemy, the first monstrosity of Sin to aggro you in the Profaned Capital.

04:44These foes are powerful, able to one hit you and even swallow you whole.

04:48It's quite niche, usually needing someone else to tell you how to get it, hence many

04:52players will never encounter it in their playthrough.

04:55While other weapons have low drop rates, on a blind playthrough, this might be the hardest.

04:59It has decent damage, but poor scaling.

05:02On the bright side, it has a larger range than most axes, making it an excellent choice

05:06for crowd control.

05:08Another rare item worth mentioning is the Proof of a Concord Kept, which can take hours

05:12of farming to obtain, being only acquired through PvP or from Silver Knights with a

05:161% drop rate.

05:23Dengu Skin

05:24Sekiro Shadows Die Twice

05:35Many believe Sekiro features FromSoftware's best designed combat system.

05:39It's also their most unique game, straying from the standard Souls-like RPG mechanics.

05:44While there are crafting materials to find that can upgrade your Shinobi prosthetic,

05:49it has the fewest collectibles in a Souls game.

05:51Regardless of this, it includes some particularly tough-to-acquire skins.

05:55These three outfits were added in its free update.

05:58While the Flaming Shura Skin is easily the best looking one, the Dengu Skin is the hardest

06:03to acquire.

06:04To unlock it, you must complete the Severance Gauntlet of Strength.

06:07It's essentially a boss rush, pitting you against the game's five hardest bosses.

06:11Guardian Ape, Great Shinobi Owl, Corrupted Monk, Genichiro, Way of the Moi, and finally,

06:17Inner Isshin.

06:18Isshin is infamous for its difficulty, but Inner Isshin is a whole new level of pain,

06:23making it undoubtedly the hardest item to acquire.

06:33Penetrator Armor Set, Demon's Souls Remake

06:42To the surprise of many fans, the Demon's Souls Remake includes an item even rarer than

06:47the pure Bladestone.

06:49It sounds pretty simple to get.

06:50Just give Sparkly the Crow 26 Ceramic Coins in return for a Rusted Key.

06:55This will let you open a hidden door, letting you take the armor.

06:58The main difficulty comes from finding 26 Ceramic Coins.

07:02In the game, players have found a total of 13, and they're all hidden in breakable items.

07:07So it requires two playthroughs to unlock, and is mainly cosmetic.

07:11It's the armor worn by Penetrator, a particularly epic boss from the game.

07:15This sword can also be found with much less difficulty, letting you complete the Penetrator

07:19look.

07:20Wearing it is a badge of honor, essentially serving as a status symbol for the most hardcore

07:24Demon's Souls enjoyers, making it more than worth the grind for some.

07:35Halyx Tree Crest Greatshield, Elden Ring

07:46FromSoftware's largest game has its fair share of low drop rate items.

07:50While some have rates as low as 0.5%, the rarest item drops 4% of the time.

07:56At first glance, you'd expect there to be loads of rarer items.

07:59However, this shield is special.

08:02It's only dropped from one specific Halyx Tree knight who hangs about outside a church

08:06near Elphail.

08:07Other knights appear to carry the shield, but they won't drop it.

08:10So is there anything special about it other than its rarity?

08:13Well, it has the highest holy resistance in the game.

08:16If you're struggling with the final boss, try this.

08:19It'll make them an absolute breeze.

08:21It has room for an Ashes of War as well, if you feel like infusing it.

08:25It's also one of the game's best looking shields, pairing wonderfully with a paladin aesthetic.
