Cardiff City boss makes clear importance of January window as club are suffering in Championship relegation battle

As Cardiff City are battling fort survival in the Championship, new permanent boss Omer Riza is stressing the importance of January for the club, both on and off the pitch.

00:00Omar Ezer was left disappointed at Cardiff City's mistakes and lack of urgency during

00:07the 3-2 defeat by Oxford United, and admits next month is an important one with the club

00:13sitting 23rd place in the table.

00:16Cardiff are currently on a dire run of results, winless in nine and having dropped like a

00:20stone down the Championship table in the last couple of months, with only Plymouth Argyle

00:25propping up the table below them.

00:27The defeat at the Kasem Stadium worsens the situation for Omar Ezer, who has not won a

00:32game since he was appointed permanent manager of the club at the beginning of December.

00:37The pressure is now piling on him, with the latest outing at Oxford doing little to quiet

00:42the growing frustration among supporters.

00:45I think it's an important window, he said. Everyone is doing their due diligence in respect

00:51of players potentially coming in. When the window opens, we will see movement take place.
