00:00Let us take a step back and note the tremendous tragedy.

00:04A father of two children, a family man,

00:09was murdered in New York City in cold blood, first and foremost.

00:15Secondly, you spoke of the heightened threat environment.

00:18The rhetoric on social media following that murder is extraordinarily alarming.

00:25It speaks of what is really bubbling here in this country,

00:30and unfortunately, we see that manifested in violence.

00:35The domestic violent extremism that exists,

00:40the threat of it in the United States,

00:42is one of the great threat streams that we must counter.

00:45Of course, there's also the threat of foreign terrorism,

00:49as well as the actions of adverse nation states.
