Hello there, I'm Kevin Woolley, branch chairman of Skegness Royal British Legion.
00:04
What we're doing here today is we've brought all our poppy nets in from around the clock tower.
00:23
And what's the tree behind you Kev? The tree's our remembrance tree. What we're
00:27
asking people to do is to just tie a poppy on for a loved one they may have lost, not
00:31
necessarily military, just anybody in particular. You can see that we've had quite a few already,
00:37
which is, you know, quite a good. And then are these going to go on the nets for Project 25?
00:43
These will be going on the Project 25 nets, which is our picture there, which we will be going off
00:47
altitude 44. 21 metres high display, which is obviously just going to bounce off the clock
00:55
tower, because the clock tower will be reinstalled again next year. So all these nets that we see
01:00
here are going back round the clock tower? Yes, they're going to go back round the clock tower
01:04
and they will do every year from now on. So this will be a brand new project? Yes,
01:09
next year will be a brand new project off altitude 44. Brilliant. And how long are we
01:14
open for? Another week next Saturday? Yes, another week next Saturday, yes. And people
01:20
to come down and donate poppies, which we've already queued up for next year.
01:24
People are coming in already, bringing in quite a lot of poppies. I think we've had hundreds
01:29
already, maybe thousands have donated to us already for next year. And they can pick wool
01:34
up and patterns and everything else? They can indeed, they can crochet patterns or woollen
01:38
patterns, yes. Brilliant, thanks a lot Kev. No, no problem. Thank you.
