00:18as well as in EDSA amid the expected tightening of the traffic on the roads this holiday season.
00:24It is expected that the number of cars passing through EDSA every day will reach 480,000 from more than 400,000.
00:36That is why the MMDA continues to monitor the traffic management this holiday season.
00:44As of now, the average speed of cars in EDSA is reaching 18 kmph.
00:50But it is expected to decrease to 15 kmph as Christmas approaches.
00:58Starting tomorrow, December 20 to December 25 and January 3, 2025,
01:04provincial buses will be allowed to pass EDSA from 10 pm to 5 am.
01:11From December 26, 2024 to January 2, 2025, they will be allowed to pass EDSA all day long.
01:18But after January 4, 2025, provincial buses will be banned from EDSA.
01:24The MMDA will clarify if provincial buses will be allowed to pass EDSA from the northern areas up to Cubao in Quezon City.
01:33If they are allowed to pass EDSA from the southern areas, they will be allowed to pass EDSA up to PITX in Paranaque City and Terminal in Pasay City.
