00:00At this point, let's talk about the programs of the current administration here on Mr. President On The Go.

00:26First of all, the filmmakers were appointed by the government under President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.

00:32According to the Film Development Council of the Philippines,

00:35Chairperson and CEO Jose Javier Reyes,

00:38the film industry supports the programs of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. and First Lady Luis Araneta Marcos.

00:46This is in line with their fifth concert in Palacio,

00:52where the unparalleled contribution of the film industry, culture, and arts of the country was recognized.

00:59And according to Reyes, this administration is not lip service

01:03because it is true that the government is reaching out to the Philippine film industry

01:08that needs support from our government.

01:12Reyes added, they appreciated that they are not just helping, they are really helping.

01:19And that is something that is changing and boosting the morale of those in the film industry.

01:26According to Llorena Tolentino, government support, like the concert in Palacio,

01:32is important for the film industry, especially during this time when the Philippine film scene is rising.

01:38What is important for the film industry is for it to come back to life

01:43because it has been a long time since there was a lot of support for the Philippine film scene.

01:47What is important is for it to start again, especially now that the Metro Manila Film Festival is coming soon.
