00:13be premiering at Sundance 2025. Rebuilding is the story of a rancher who loses everything

00:20in a wildfire. He winds up in a strange new community in a FEMA camp, and with the help

00:28of his daughter, has to reconstruct a sense of who he is and how they all might be able

00:32to move forward together. It stars Josh O'Connor, and it's my attempt to imagine a beautiful

00:38future in our uncertain, warming world.

00:46The movie was filmed in Southern Colorado, where I'm from, and it was a really magical

00:51time making it with all of my best friends. I'm really grateful to everyone who helped
