00:00The train operations for both the MRT and the LRT are extended as announced by the Department of Transportation or DOTR.

00:17The Bureau of Internal Revenue or BIR issued Memorandum Circular number 131-2024

00:26which exempts certain medicines for cancer, diabetes, and mental illness from value-added tax or VAT obligations.

00:35BIR Commissioner Romeo Domagi Jr. says 16 medicines are VAT-exempt

00:41as the agency believes excellent taxpayer service should include timely exemption for eligible medicines.

00:49The Department of Agriculture or DA and the Department of Trade and Industry or DTI

00:55have forged an alliance to help the country in its agricultural exports as well as address market barriers.

01:03DA Secretary Francisco Teolaurel Jr. is proud that such partnership with DTI has been formalized

01:11and that combining the resources and expertise of both agencies will unlock the full potential of the country's agriculture sector.

01:20The Department of Labor and Employment or DOLE and the DTI held a two-day workshop

01:26to improve the skills of the Labor Department's negotiators in integrating labor matters in key trade discussions for the country.

01:36Attorney Abigail de la Rosa, head of DOLE's International Labor Affairs Task Force, said

01:42negotiators always come up with the utmost benefits for both labor and capital whenever they are at the negotiation table,

01:51especially its possible benefits to the country's economic development.

01:57The Department of Transportation or DOTR announced operations of both the Metro Rail Transit or MRT

02:04and the Light Rail Transit or LRT are both extended until December 23.

02:09The decision to extend operations is in consideration of the volume of passengers during the holiday season.
