02:11How do you feel about that because we he says it all the time like it's tough if you're you know

02:16You're sitting in a living room with your parents and Bill Belichick is there

02:20You have to at least consider playing for the the greatest ever do it. I

02:26Mean it to be honest. I think it'll be a great thing for the younger generation

02:30So I think a lot of them near a reality check, you know

02:34I think I think a lot of people are blowing steam up some of the kids, but

02:40I think that I think I think nowadays there is a sense of entitlement with our younger generation with with certain things

02:47So I'm sure I'm sure he'll adapt don't get it wrong. But I also know that

02:53He's good. He's an old school coach. You know, he's got like he's still got his own ways and

02:59You know, like like I said, it'll be a good thing for some of the kids to have a reality check that you know

03:06They're not they're no longer like that guy unless I mean unless of course they just bought a lot and go crazy, you know

03:13But you know now it's now it's the time for them to prove it they haven't done anything yet besides played

03:19against other kids, you know now they're

03:22At the next level where they're about to play 18 to 20

03:26I don't know 18 to 28 year old kids now, you know rookies nowadays are old. Yeah, right

03:31Jelani one thing that we talked to Mayo about and you know, I specifically asked them is

03:37How do you make sure that guys are not mentally checking out with only four weeks to go in the season?

03:44You know, there's no hopes of making the playoffs you get in a position

03:49Where you're on a losing team and you might have some young guys that check out as a leader

03:55How do you make sure that these guys stay focused and they go out there and you know

03:59they play 60 minutes and they're not walking off the field in the middle of the third quarter like the linebacker was from San

04:05Francisco last night cuz I like I what do I got to play for I

04:09Mean if we're talking to the younger guys, the biggest thing is like it

04:13If you want to put a bad film out there if you want to just show like, you know

04:17show the coaches your true colors and if that is your true colors, you know, then then

04:22By all means do what you got to do

04:25But if you want to be in this league, you can't put bad film out there even even if we're having a you know

04:31The season that we're having, you know, you got to always

04:34Come with that mindset that you know, you get you get to do this stuff

04:37you don't you know, like most people data have an opportunity just to suit up or practice as a

04:44NFL player, you know, so

04:47You definitely just don't want to

04:50The opportunity slip past past you and and you know what you're out of the league you're here you're working, you know

04:58Hopefully you graduated so you're using your degree, but you know, that's not the case sometimes so

05:05And then I think right now is just

05:09Yeah, you gotta know that job security is

05:14If you weren't playing in the NFL what would your what would your job be what job would you most like to have like

05:20Right now or if I never made it. Yeah, no like no like right

05:25Well, I would I would try and get back into like school I mean I graduated in college already

05:30But I would definitely try and get it's a social working. Oh, I

05:36Like it very good very noble field to enter degrees in child family development. Really? Yeah

05:43You're three

05:47Degree in child family development. Yeah, I could be a great counselor

05:53interesting you were able to get that not attending a single class in it at

06:07We were talking this week

06:09This there was you know by week there was a story about sort of where the team sits now in

06:15Comparison to where it's at last year

06:17statistically

06:18offense defense special teams and

06:20Strength of schedule the strength of schedule so far this year has been far easier than it was last year

06:27Yet the defense's performance has been far worse with Gerard Mayo coming over as the head coach

06:32I thought the defense would be the the strength of the team

06:36What's gone wrong in terms of why the defense is where it is today

06:49It's just attention to detail that's the biggest thing I

06:54Think it's just a little thing for us that just

06:57Creates such a huge domino effect on on some of the like the big things that everybody sees on on on TV

07:06But I think that'll be the biggest thing

07:12Jelani, you know, there's been a bunch of reports out there like, you know, Gerard is on the hot seat

07:17Do you guys feel like as a team you're playing?

07:21Obviously to try to save Gerard's job. I

07:27Mean yeah, but we're all we're all on the hot seat, you know, like winning like winning is

07:32Winning is a big vital thing to keep job security, you know, so

07:38Like we were talking about earlier, you know

07:42With these next four weeks week

07:44Luckily, what was great about this week was everybody came back juice, you know

07:49We were talking about this in the locker room and it was cool to see you guys

07:53You know, it's like energized refreshed after that quick bye week and you know, we're ready to attack these next four weeks

07:59but right now we

08:02We're we're getting prepared for Arizona and you know, I think we're we have a really good game plan for these guys and

08:09We've got to execute

08:12Jelani this Arizona team can be really physical especially a guy like James Connor

08:17What is it going to take me and I know you've even said that at times this year, you know

08:21Tackling has been an issue and it's not an effort thing

08:24it's just guys aren't you know getting in there and and being

08:28Committed enough to the to to doing it

08:31and so I'm curious your thoughts on how you guys are really gonna prepare mentally and physically and be ready for this physical, Arizona front

08:42We're pretty physical team too, I'm not I'm not worried about that. Like I said, the guys are energized and and

08:49refreshed after that, you know those past 14 weeks and

08:52And

08:54You just had to be there to see the energy that we had

08:58this past few days of practice, so

09:03Going on to Connor, we do not make sure everybody's got the ball. It takes it to take all them guys getting to the ball

09:09Oh, you know send a message to whoever's the ball carrier, you know

09:14Okay, hey when there's when they have to get up

09:20So Lonnie one of the areas that I mean, obviously you guys got to make sure you do a great job

09:25But is when you play against a kid like Kyla Murray and his ability to extend plays in and make plays outside the pocket

09:31How important is it to make sure that you guys are?

09:35disciplined especially in your pass rush

09:41Very critical, you know, like you said you said it all didn't say perfectly, you know

09:46They're all offense runs through one and and he's a very dynamic player so

09:51our front

09:53Just has to make sure that you know
