Malaysia's strong position in global Islamic finance, which contributes 14.8 per cent or US$666 billion to global Islamic financial assets, underscores the nation's ongoing efforts to strengthen its halal industry.
Speaking in the Dewan Rakyat on Wednesday (Dec 11), Special select committee member (finance and economy) and Petaling Jaya MP Lee Chean Chung highlighted Malaysia’s leadership in key areas of the sector, including Islamic banking, takaful, sukuk, and Islamic fund management.
