00:00How do you think Troy Aikman would be as a head coach?

00:09I don't know.

00:10I think that I would look at him.

00:13He won't.

00:14I would think of it.

00:15Well, here's the two things I would say about it.

00:17Number one, he's been out of the game for so long and he's never coached.

00:22He's been he's been a broadcaster for what now, 25 years.

00:26I mean, he's been doing this.

00:28I think if you thought about him, like what Lynch is doing in San Francisco or, you know,

00:34as a GM type, but that that role obviously isn't available to the Dallas Cowboys.

00:39I don't I don't know about him as being an actual coach.

00:43He is in the league 25 years calling games.

00:46What does he know about the NFL as it's moved into the future?

00:50I think he just I think it would just be he's never been a coach like he's just even though

00:54he still has been around the league for 25 years.

00:58The ins and outs of how you coach and run a football team is not something he's ever

01:03done.

01:04And I think at any level, at any level, they hired him.

01:08They were free.

01:09They would freak.

01:10Now, I think they would also freak if Steven took his father aside and said, why don't

01:16you know, they'd freak if they let Troy beat a GM and run the team.

01:20But that family's never going to do that or, you know, they just they won't allow it.

01:24But that, I think, is something that would change the Cowboys.

01:29And I think that's the only team he'd do it for, too.

01:30I think Troy likes that cushy gig with Buck on Monday nights, just calling the games and

01:35being an announcer and walking around his yellow jacket a couple of times a year like

01:39he loves that.

01:40But he had out last week, too, right?

01:42I mean, he just he loves breaking that yellow jacket out any chance that he can.

01:47Who wouldn't?

01:48I do actually have Jerry for you today because, I mean, they showed him.

01:53Did you see the look on his face when the guy touched the punt?

01:56I mean, Jerry, just he just can't take it.

01:59Here he is after another Cowboy loss.

02:01He made the mistakes out there.

02:03That mistake we made at the end was really.

02:09It was very impactful, is all I can say.

02:13How much emotional whiplash is there going from the blocked punt to having that Aurore

02:18Well, the odds are the coach said we got made the play and blocked the punt.

02:27But then we had a one and X happened when after blocking the punt, we touched the ball.

02:35That's that's all should be figured in before we decide to stop doing this.

02:39He's got to stop doing these powwows out in the hallway after these games.

02:44He's just it doesn't help.

02:47Forget what owner doesn't do.

02:49No owner in the league does it.

02:51He's the general manager.

02:52No GM in the league does it and has powwows with the media after every loss in the tunnel

02:58underneath the stadium.

03:05And he just half the time has no idea what he's talking about.

03:14I mean, they are it's literally like he's rounding up steer and there's 100 microphones

03:20there and he knows it and he's the king of the castle.

03:24I think at some point and I know this is going to be hard for people to absorb, but I think

03:29he's got to go.

03:30I mean, you're 80 years old.

03:32I know these guys like they never want to give up power and I don't really see the point

03:40in it when you're 80 years old.

03:42You know, why not just own the team and let your son do it now?

03:45I think it's gotten to the point where for me, he's just too old, you know, and I know

03:51people don't like hearing that my limit 70, you know, I told you guys when they hit 70,

03:56it's got to it's got to end.

03:58And then this guy goes to 80.

04:00I mean, what is next 90?

04:02Is he going to do another 10 years of this?

04:04Like he I think he actually talks too much.

04:08I know I do, but he doesn't know that he talks too much.

04:12He does, you know, 50 radio interviews.

04:14He does a postgame presser in the hallway and they get worse by the year.

04:19They really do.

04:20And so does his team.
