Belgium bids an emotional farewell to three giant pandas

00:00After a month in quarantine these pandas are finally on their way to the giant

00:05panda base in Sichuan province China. As you can see strict health measures are

00:10in place to make sure the pandas remain safe during their journey. It's estimated

00:15around 1,500 people have gathered here at Paradiso Zoo to see these pandas off.

00:22While it's very much been seen as a bittersweet moment for many people here

00:27two pandas will remain, the parents of the three that are leaving for China.

00:31The hope is that the breeding program will now restart and while today is a

00:36chance to say goodbye hopefully officials here say there'll be a chance

00:40to say hello to some new faces in the future.
