00:05at how Thais just leave their helmets out in the open in parking lots and are not afraid

00:09that their helmets are going to be stolen.

00:11But Thailand isn't just the land of smiles, it's also the land of trust.

00:15But trust comes with a price.

00:18Thailand's crime rate may not be among the highest globally, but petty crimes like thief

00:22and scams are not uncommon.

00:25Unfortunately, this openness can sometimes make people vulnerable.

00:29In 2022-2023, there were more than 50,000 property crime cases reported, with an 81%

00:36arrest rate.

00:37Theft was the most common, with 27,000 cases.

00:41Compared to 2021, property crime increased, highlighting theft as a significant issue.

00:47While trust is an important part of Thai culture, remaining vigilant is still very important.

00:52And that's what makes many people say that Thailand is a very safe place to live in.

00:57So yeah, it's safe.
