00:00The government's strongest support for farmers is now in my hands

00:04through the Amendment to the Agricultural Clarification Act of 1996

00:09passed by President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.

00:13Under the amendment, the help to farmers was expanded

00:16through the provision of machines and new equipment for farming,

00:22free quality rice and other assistance.

00:25The RCEF, or Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund, was also expanded until 2031

00:31and its fund was increased from Php 10 billion to Php 30 billion.

00:36It is also on the agenda that there should be a 30-day buffer stock of rice

00:41so that it can be used quickly in times of calamity.
