Former Uruguayan President José “Pepe” Mujica received on Thursday the highest distinctions granted by Colombia and Brazil from their respective presidents Gustavo Petro and Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, who were in Uruguay. teleSUR

00:04Uruguay, Jose Mujica, with the Cruz de Boyaca, the highest civilian distinction awarded by

00:09the Colombian government.

00:11The ceremony took place at the home of the former Uruguayan president on the outskirts

00:16of Montevideo.

00:17The Order of Boyaca honors and exalts national and foreign individuals and institutions that

00:23have excelled for their services in Colombia.

00:27After reading of the protocol text of the order, the Colombian president proceeded to

00:32place the sash on Mujica, who was accompanied by his wife and former Uruguayan senator,

00:38Lucia Topolansky, to later pose before the press and enter the house without making any

00:44statements.
