00:00It was given the title of a program of People's Television Network after the 29 Asian TV Awards

00:06that was held in Jakarta, Indonesia, according to Floyd Brenn's report.

00:11And the winner is, PTV News Tonight, People's Television Network in PTV Philippines.

00:21President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. presided over today's Netta board meeting.

00:27People's Television Network won the 29th Asian TV Awards.

00:32For the first time ever, it was awarded the Best News Program Award for PTV News Tonight.

00:39The program was one of the seven other news broadcasts in Asia.

00:43Network General Manager Antonio Tominebrida also expressed his gratitude.

00:48We do these things because we have a passion to do our work.

00:56We have a drive to excel, and the series of citations and awards that we have been receiving over the years.

01:06It's historic for the hosts to be recognized.

01:09It's not just for the state media, but also for Filipino journalism.

01:15We're very happy and it should serve as an inspiration to make us continue to grow and continue to be better at our craft.

01:25The Asian Television Awards, I think, is one of the most prestigious awards that you can get in Southeast Asia.

01:38Several programs and personalities of PTV were nominated for the Asian TV Awards.

01:43One of them was nominated for the Best Talk Show and Ulatbayan for the Best News Program.

01:48Trisha Bersano was also nominated for the Best Talk Show Host.

01:54Also nominated for the Best News Presenter were Charm Cespina and Diane Querer.

01:59The Asian Television Awards were held in 1996.

02:03The award-giving body recognizes the quality programs and outstanding personalities in the TV industry.
