01:02The House has been investigating Duterte over her alleged misuse of public funds as head

01:06of the Office of the Vice President and as former education chief

01:10She resigned from the DepEd June this year

01:12The following are the signatories to the complaint

01:18Lakbayan Rep. Percy Sandana endorsed the impeachment complaint to the House

01:35One of the contentious issues is her handling of confidential funds

01:38In August, the Commission on Audit asked the Office of the Vice President to return over

01:4273 million pesos out of the 125 million peso confidential funds

01:47But President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. urged House lawmakers not to entertain impeachment efforts

01:52against Duterte

01:54Some lawmakers downplayed the president's appeal, saying it was just a suggestion

03:08The House says Lopez received her release order at 5.34 p.m. on Saturday

03:12She was discharged from the hospital an hour after releasing the order

03:16Lopez was cited in contempt and ordered detained after the House Committee discovered she sent

03:20a letter to the Commission on Audit, blocking the release of the confidential funds report

03:24to lawmakers

03:26Her detention was initially set for five days, but was extended by five more days on November

03:3125, with Deputy Minority Leader Franz Castro citing Lopez's absence in the probe

03:38United States President Joe Biden says he pardoned his son, Hunter

03:42This comes just weeks before Biden is set to turn over the presidency to President-elect

03:46Donald Trump

03:47Biden explains the move, saying,

03:49"...no reasonable person who looks at the facts of Hunter's cases can reach any other

03:53conclusion than Hunter was singled out only because he is my son."

03:57Hunter was found guilty on three counts in his federal gun case for making false statements

04:02on a background check and illegally possessing a firearm while addicted to drugs

04:07He also pled guilty to nine federal tax charges in September

04:11The White House had repeatedly said Biden would not pardon or commute the sentences

04:14of his son, who became the target of Republicans, including Trump

04:18In a post on Truth Social, Trump says Biden's move is such an abuse and miscarriage of justice

04:24Trump also brings up the January 6, 2021 Capitol rioters, some of which he suggested could

04:30be pardoned once he is president
