00:00Good news to our countrymen, because there will be an additional healthcare package of PhilHealth.

00:05This is their first-ever Preventive Oral Healthcare Benefit Package.

00:10This is after the approval of Health Secretary Edoro Hermosa and PhilHealth Board of Directors for the completed package.

00:18According to the Department of Health, this can provide services to every Filipino for their oral care.

00:25This includes oral screening, dental prophylaxis or cleaning, and fluoride varnish application.

00:31PhilHealth has also agreed to pay for pit and fissure sealants and Class 5 procedures if needed for both teeth.

00:40And not only that, because the package also includes emergency consultations and extraction of teeth.

00:46The proposed primary care provided by PhilHealth is in line with the target of 70-20 meeting where more Filipinos

00:56who are in their 70s are expected to have 20 or 20 permanent teeth.

01:01It is expected that this will be implemented by the second quarter of 2025.
