00:00Immediately, the Department of Justice countered the statement of Vice President Sara Duterte

00:05that she will file a case of violation of the Anti-Terror Law

00:09because the government wanted to stop her properties and assets.

00:13According to Undersecretary Jesse Andres, it is clear from the law

00:17that the statements of the Vice President are a violation of the Anti-Terror Law or RA 11479.

00:24But DOJ clarified that it is not considered a terrorist, VP Sara,

00:29because this is a different process from the law.

00:32The Department of Justice is doing this because they want to prove that justice is working in the country

00:38and anyone who will go against this will be punished.

00:42We are not doing this as a case against the Vice President.

00:48But the Anti-Terror Law is based on the proposal to commit terrorism,

00:57a conspiracy to commit terrorism,

01:02and the very attempt to commit terrorism is already a criminal act.

01:08This is a situation where we have to show that the rule of law applies to everyone

01:14and no one is above the law.
