00:00The Department of Tourism is responsible for the North Luzon Travel Expo in La Union,

00:04the Biodiversity Conservation and Responsible Tourism.

00:08The details are in the news of Kathleen Ramones of the Philippine Information Agency La Union.

00:15The Department of Tourism created the North Luzon Travel Expo in La Union

00:20that aims to show the contribution of the tourism industry

00:24and strategies in preserving the natural resources and culture.

00:28The exhibits and activities are focused on the eco-friendly tourism

00:35and the importance of the culture and nature of the region.

00:39From November 21 to 23, 2024,

00:43more than 23 exhibitors from different regions in the Philippines

00:46attended the Travel Expo Fair to promote their products.

00:51The culture and importance of nature was also highlighted

00:55through the natural dance and heritage exhibit.

00:59The ceremonial tree planting activity,

01:01beach clean-up drive,

01:02and beach run were held to promote the protection of endangered species.

01:08We are not only helping them promote their agritourism sites and destinations,

01:15but we collaborate with them when it comes to trainings.

01:18And we have been doing that since they have crafted their plan

01:24for making La Union as the agritourism destination for 2025.

01:31La Union is not only a destination,

01:34it is also a model for a more sustainable future.
