00:00The Honda Activa is a name that resonates with almost all Indian commuters and what if I told

00:05you now with me, I have a Honda Activa Electric, well this is the Honda Activa Electric, Honda

00:11just showcased it and this is not yet launched, it's only going to be launched in Jan 2025 but

00:18before that let me show you what all this has to offer and why this stands out amongst other

00:23electric scooters in the market. Welcome back to DriveSpark, I'm Vedant Johari and this is the

00:28Activa E. Now I'll take you guys around this whole scooter to show you what all it has to offer.

00:34So now starting off like this is how the scooter looks as you can see still resembles a little bit

00:39of the current Activa but with a few changes to make it a little more modern and a little more

00:43premium. So now starting off the fit and finish of this is tremendous, none of the panels are

00:49jutting out, everything is put together very very well and the paint scheme that Honda has used

00:55especially on this colour is brilliant, you have this like glitter effect on the front and honestly

01:02all over depending on what lighting you look at and it just really brings out the whole element

01:06of the scooter. Now starting off well, the DRLs that we get are LED and it gives you the little

01:12smiley face effect on top, this is our main headlamp unit, the indicators are here, all integrated so

01:18we get all LED lighting on the scooter from our DRLs to our main headlamp unit and even at the

01:23rear once you move over here, the brake lights that we get are all LED. Now apart from that,

01:29apart from that this is how the scooter looks from this side profile as you can see,

01:34really good, really premium and definitely a lot more better looking than the current going Activa.

01:39So now let's move to the hardware of this, so the front wheels that we get are 12-inch tyres,

01:45the diamond part alloy wheels, we get disc brakes at the front and a drum brake at the rear,

01:49now this all sits on the telescopic suspension, apart from that the rear,

01:53the rear wheel that we get is also 12-inch but a little fatter than the front wheel obviously.

01:57Now we have an offset horn shock at the rear and this is a hub mounted motor. Now I'll come to the

02:03specifications in a bit, before that let me just show you around the whole scooter, so you get two

02:08storage options, one located right here, one located on the other side, you get a type-c

02:13charger right here as you guys can see and this is a toggle to switch on the scooter, to open our

02:19seat and everything. So now let me switch it off and then switch it back on for you guys, so this

02:26is our main thing, we get this nice blue light around it, which will bring a whole futuristic,

02:30a whole electric feel of this. So now as I switch it on, let me show you, so this is our main

02:39instrument cluster, infotainment screen, whatever you want to call it and it has all the readings,

02:44this is a TFT display and yeah, so now we get a range here, distance to zero, how much battery

02:53percentage we have, our riding modes, this comes with three riding modes, eco, standard and sport,

02:56so now it's on eco, now it's on standard and that's sport, so we get three different riding modes

03:02and now to toggle everything over here, we get this joystick over here and we get these two

03:06buttons, so with that we can toggle everything, so as you guys can see, these are all the

03:14options that we get, pretty quick to respond, no lags, no delays, this is not touchscreen,

03:19so you can't touch and use it, it's all through these toggles. Now this is our main

03:26fast and light switch, this is our indicator, our horn and it also comes with a reverse mode

03:32right here, as you guys can see, so yeah, that was it, now let me show you the under seat storage

03:39on this, so now this is the under seat storage on the Activa E, so we get two swappable batteries,

03:451.5 kilowatt hour each, totally three kilowatt hour batteries on this and I'll show you the

03:50swapping station in a bit but because of these two batteries, the amount of storage space that

03:54we get is extremely extremely restricted, we can barely fit anything, probably just maybe one

04:00grocery bag or something like that, but that also will be a tight squeeze in here, so the

04:04storage, under seat storage is really really has taken a hit because of the swappable batteries,

04:11however in terms of convenience sake, in terms of a commuter, a scooter, these swappable batteries

04:17may come into advantage, so let me take you, tell you a quick run through of the specifications that

04:25we get on this, well as I mentioned, this is a three kilowatt motor, so it has two batteries,

04:29two 1.5 kilowatt hour batteries that make it totally three kilowatt hour, it puts out a total

04:34of six kilowatts of power and 22 Newton meters of torque, apart from that, the range on the Activa E

04:40is around 102 kilometers, let me quickly show you the spec sheet right here, this is the spec sheet

04:44of the scooter, as you can see, we get two variants, one is the Honda RoadSync Duo and one is the

04:49Activa E, the RoadSync Duo is the more premium option of the two, that was a quick view of the

04:55Activa E and now coming to the swapping stations, let me quickly show you, so here is the swapping

05:00station, as you guys can see, so there's someone right now swapping in the batteries, so it's

05:07really simple, probably a 15 second process, at the top over there, we have a card that we get once

05:13we get the scooter, which you got to tap on that, after that one of the slots open up, you put your

05:17empty battery inside and take the fresh battery out and just put it into your scooter and that's

05:20about it, so all in all the Activa E is available in five different colors, one was the black that

05:28I showed you, another one is this blue and we've got a few more lined up, so that was a quick view

05:33of the Honda Activa E, prices of this haven't been launched yet, the scooter is only going to launch
