00:11And yet, she's a superstar.

00:14Li now has 21 million subscribers on YouTube

00:17and 60 million on Chinese platform Douyin.

00:21Her videos celebrate the simplicity of rural life.

00:24Many fans say they offer a refuge

00:26from their worries and fears.

00:28Whatever the reason, it seems to work.

00:31Some of her posts get almost 100 million views.

00:35She's had massive success,

00:37but it all came to a grinding halt in 2021,

00:40when she filed a lawsuit against her management company.

00:44China Daily reported that Li wanted more control

00:47of her brand and revenue.

00:49She eventually reached a deal in 2022, but remained silent.

00:54Then, out of the blue,

00:56three videos in the space of a few days.

00:59Those videos already have more than 32 million views.
